**[[Repel]]**If possible the defender attempts to [[repel]] the attacker
===== 2 =====
**[[Petrify|Petrify attackers]]**If the defender can [[petrify]] the attacker makes a [[magic resistance]] roll or gets turned to stone
===== 3 =====
**[[Awe|Awe check]]**If the defender has [[Awe]] the attacker makes a [[morale]] roll to be able to attack the defender
===== 4 =====
**[[Eye Vengeance]]**If the defender has [[Eye Vengeance]] (e.g. wearing the ??Eye Shield?? the attacker makes a [[magic resistance]] roll to prevent eye loss.

**[[Curse|Curse Bestower]]**If the defender bestows [[curse|curses]] the attacker gets [[curse|cursed]]
===== 6 =====
**[[Vine Shield]]**If the defender is wearing the ??Vine Shield?? the attacker makes a [[magic resistance]] roll to avoid being [[entangled]].

**[[Slimer]]**If the defender has [[Slimer]] the attacker...
===== 8 =====
**[[Horror Mark attacker]]**If the defender has [[Horror Mark attacker]] the attacker gets [[Horror Mark|Horror marked]].

**[[Fateweaving]]**If the defender has the [[Fateweaving]] bless the attacker gets....

**[[Attack Roll]]**An [[attack roll]] vs. [[defense roll]] is made. Any positive and negative modifiers to attack and defense are applied.

**[[Iron Vulnerability]]**If the attacker is using an iron weapon and the defender has [[Iron Vulnerability]], the vulnerability is taken into account now.

**[[Damage Roll]]**Attacker rolls [[damage]] and defender rolls [[damage|Protection]]. If defender rolls low, an [[crit|armor defeating hit]] reduction to Protection occurs.

**[[Stun|Defender Stunned]]**If the defender takes Shock Damage, a check is made to see whether the defender is [[stun|stunned]].

**[[Shield|Shield Damage]]**If the defender's [[Shield]] was hit a check is made to see whether the shield was damaged.

**[[Physical Resistance]]**Damage reduction from [[Physical Resistance]] is calculated now.

**[[Protective Force]]**If the defender is affected by [[Protective Force]] those are taken into account.
===== 17 =====
**[[Mirror Image]]**If the defender has any Mirror Images, a check is made to see if the damage is negated. This does not stop the following effects from happening.

**[[Ethereal|Ethereal check]]**If the defender is [[ethereal]], the defender has a 75% chance to negate the damage of any non-magical attack.

**[[Luck|Luck check]]**If the defender has [[Luck]] and the attack was a killing blow, the defender has a 75% chance to negate the damage.
===== 20 =====
**[[Mistform]]**If the defender has [[Mistform]], up to 25 damage is reduced to 1 damage.
===== 21 =====
**[[Mossbody]]**If the defender has [[Mossbody]], the defender has a 75% chance to reduce damage by 15.
===== 22 =====
**[[Fools luck|Fool's Luck]]**If the defender has [[Fools luck|Fool's Luck]] the damage is either doubled or negated.
===== 23 =====
**[[Damage Reversal]]**If the defender has [[Damage Reversal]], the attacker makes a [[magic resistance]] check or takes damage.

**[[Blood Vengeance]]**If the defender has [[Blood Vengeance]], the attacker makes a [[magic resistance]] check or takes damage.

**[[Twist Fate]]**If the defender has [[Twist Fate]], the damage is negated.

**[[Poisonous Barbs]]**If the defender has [[Poisonous Barbs]], the defender makes a [[damage]] roll to apply poison damage to the attacker.

**[[Contact Poison]]**If the defender has [[Contact Poison]], the defender makes a [[damage]] roll to apply poison damage to the attacker.

**[[Astral Shield]]**If the defender has [[Astral Shield]], the attacker makes a [[magic resistance]] check or becomes paralyzed.

**[[Fire Shield]]**If the defender has [[Fire Shield]], the defender makes a [[damage]] roll to apply fire damage to the attacker.

**[[Banefire Shield]]**If the defender has [[Banefire Shield]], the defender makes a [[damage]] roll to apply fire damage to the attacker.
===== 30 =====
**[[Overcharged|Overcharged Shock]]**If the defender has [[Overcharged]], both attacker and defender take shock [[damage]].
===== 31 =====
**[[Acid Splash]]**If the defender has [[Acid Splash]], the defender makes a [[damage]] roll to apply acid damage to the attacker.
===== 20+ =====
**[[Blood Bond]]**If the defender has [[Blood Bond]] and allies with blood bond nearby, the damage is spread. It is known to be after luck, but exact location is not currently known.
