====== Twilight ====== **Twilight** is when the Sun lights the world without being present. It's also a Battlefield Enchantment for Glamour Mages. ===== Circumstantial Twilight ===== If a combat round is six seconds long, like in Dungeons & Dragons, then battles always start ten minutes (**100 rounds**) before Twilight. Twilight only occurs where the Sun can shine (so not indoors, in Deep Seas, in Caves, or in other Planes), but the 100-round timer is important in all battles. Once Twilight happens, **all buffs, debuffs, and battlefield enchantments end**. This includes all temporary traits, such as "Blessed" (on those who aren't permanently blessed) and "Gone Berserk". Since scripts are only for the first five actions, whether or not a fellow reapplies their magic is entirely on them; on the other hand, a Berserker cannot go berserk twice in a single battle. === After Round 100 === After Round 100, the attacker has five minutes (**50 rounds**) to finish things up; otherwise, they "turn-rout". A turn-rout affects everyone except for, ironically, the Berserk. In addition, it becomes nighttime, applying a Darkness penalty of **-3** to Attack Skill, Defence Skill, and Precision; this is known as **Nightfall**, which is //also// a Glamour Battlefield Enchatnment. If the battle started at night for some reason, such as in an Assassination, **Daybreak** occurs instead and the night Darkness ends. Once **Round 170** is reached, the defenders "give up" and also turn-rout. Once **Round 200** is reached, everyone on the battlefield dies of mysterious circumstances, a situation known in Conquest of Elysium as "Starvation". ===== Weaponized Twilight ===== ??Twilight?? can be called early as a Battlefield Enchantment by a mage with (or a mage with ), but **only during the day**. It doesn't work if any Darkness effect is active. It //also// doesn't work in the presence of a Sun, such as ??Buer - Goat Sun??, ??The Forbidden Light??, or a few Pretender "chassis". It //also// doesn't work if a ??Second Sun?? is in the sky, or if the rival ??Solar Brilliance?? Enchantment is in play. This Twilight does not have the same magic-ending effects as hitting the Round-100 timer. ===== But what does Twilight itself do? ===== Twilight itself applies a **-2 Precision** penalty to everyone on the battlefield. It also provides a **+ pathboost** to all Glamour mages in the battle. The Precision penalty is affected by Darkvision and Spirit Sight, and outright negated by Blindness (the Affliction or the Trait) and True Sight.
