Indicates the monster is mounted. Mounted monsters have increased defense (+3) and reduced [[encumbrance]] from armor, and also suffer only half as much [[harassment|harass penalty]] from incoming attacks. They can also use lances for a [[charge bonus]], but cannot use tower shields.
