**Pythium** is a human Empire based on that of Byzantium. It may refer to:
  * [[pythium-ma | MA Pythium, Emerald Empire]] <- This one invokes the Orthodox Church with its powerful [[Communions]] of priests.
  * [[pythium-la | LA Pythium, Serpent Cult]] <- This one has a much-less-powerful cult in charge, which tenuously cooperates with others. 

Both have Roman-style legions (of different eras), warriors and beasts of the gladiator pits, and reptile-riding elites.
