Pythium is a human Empire based on that of Byzantium. It may refer to:

• MA Pythium, Emerald Empire ← This one invokes the Orthodox Church with its powerful Communions of priests.
• LA Pythium, Serpent Cult ← This one has a much-less-powerful cult in charge, which tenuously cooperates with others.

Both have Roman-style legions (of different eras), warriors and beasts of the gladiator pits, and reptile-riding elites.
