Province Attributes

When a province is selected, you can see many of it's attributes in a box in the upper right corner of the screen. The amount of information available to you is dependent on how much knowledge you have of it in game, depending on whether you control the province, have dominion in the province, have a scout or spy in the province, or are magically scrying on the province. If fog of war is enabled, you wont even be able to select the province at all if you cannot 'see' it some way.

There are several attributes that each province has. The most important of these is terrain, which influences all the rest of the attributes that a province might have.

Terrain: What kind of province this is, be it a plains, cave, forest etc. This effects how much population is in the province, it's growth rate, resources and how many and what kind of sites can be in the province.

Population: How many people live in this province. This influences the base levels of income in the province as well as the recruitment points and available resources.

Income: How much gold is collected from this province. The base amount is 1 gold for every 100 population, though it can be affected by many other factors.

Recruitment Points: Units all have a recruitment point value to recruit them. High population provinces have more recruitment points.

Supplies: Many units require supplies every turn to stop them from starving. High population provinces tend to have more supplies.

Supply Usage: How many supplies are being consumed in this province right now. This can be negative if you have creatures that produce supply points in the province.

Defence: How much Province Defence is allocated to this province. The units available depend on the available independent units in the province, and your nation. Provinces with forts in them always use your nation's province defence units.

Unrest: How much unrest is in the province. Every 50 points of unrest causes the province's income to be halved. Provinces with more than 100 unrest cannot recruit any units or commanders.

Corpses: How many dead unburied corpses are in the province, created by battles or events that kill significant amounts of the population. Corpses are consumed by several rituals and certain units.

Dominion: How much of a god's dominion is in this province. White candles represent your dominion, while black candles represent your opponents. The scales of this province are also shown here.

Buildings and Sites: All the currently discovered sites in this province. Some sites (thrones, volcanoes etc) are public and can be seen by any scout in the province. Others that had to be found by site searching can only be seen in enemy territory by spies or scrying rituals.
