+**Relinquishing** is a mechanic by which one player in a [[disciples|disciple]] team can hand ownership of a [[province]] over to another player in their team. It is done by giving a commander the //relinquish// order. The player to take over the province must have a [[stealth|non-stealthed]] commander already present in the province.
+Relinquishing happens at step 21 of the [[turn order sequence]], right before movement. The operation preserves [[temple|temples]], [[lab|labs]] and [[fort|forts]], but reduces [[province defence]] by 25%.
