Returning is a mechanism by which a commander can instantly leave the current battle and magically travel back to his home citadel. There is a chance that he might get lost on his travels, return on a later turn or pick up the insane trait. Tests indicate that for "default" chassis mages with 2 astral magic the chance to get lost is about 10%. Tests indicate here might be a trait or ability that reduces this chance, but details aren't determined.
Returning can be triggered by the Returning or Vortex of Returning spell, or once someone with the effect of a Ritual of Returning or wearing a Ring of Returning get's injured.
