 Early game options.
+Bogarus's early game is defined by their research. Expansion tends to be bad, you don't have enough mages for large communions, but your research mage is leaps and bounds ahead of other nations. As such, I've put a few of the important research targets below
+**Evocation 5 - Assorted nukes**
+There's a few great spells at evocation 5 for bogarus (and a few more at 6). It's a good place to be for a first war, and allows you to convert all your mages into high combat power. Everyone always looks and sees fall from heaven on the alchemist (the premiere spell), but bogarus can use quite a lot of the evo5, from fatigue plays to AOE AN damage (vs mr), to falling fires (on starets) etc, and even shadow blast on occultists for some small irresistible AN if needed. Basically, this is the standard 'war magic' for bogarus, once you hit this, the nations combat power increases significantly
+**Conjuration 3 - Summon Sirin**
+Conjuration 3 is a relatively early utility path. The main draw to it is you get sirins, which are very effective seducers and a way to convert astral gems into in-game power. If you steal throne mages, this can essentially pay for the gems, and give assorted magic access. This works far better if there's dominion on the throne for the morale penalty (and ideally some magic scales for the MR penalty).

+Bogarus can paint buffs quite well on horsemen.
+**Thamuturgy 2 - Mind Burn**
+Exactly what it looks like, just a way to essentially turn mages into h3 priests spamming smite.
+**Enchantment 5**
+There's always a place for rushed flaming arrows - albeit LA everyone seems to have some resists. This mostly works if you have a mass of horse archers or foreign recruit crossbows
 ==== Mid Game ====
 Mid game options.
+As Bogarus - the biggest mid-game choice is when to pivot to blood and how deep. Loosely, this stems from your fast research resulting in Bogarus having to make this choice quite early compared to other nations. The blood pivot is very gold-expensive, with the mages costing over 300g apiece, extra patrollers needed for the auto-unrest, and of course, skipping mage recruitment for blood hunter recruitment. These costs add up very quickly, and the result is Bogarus will rapidly be gold capped and not be able to fully produce from their forts, be it troops or mages that are skipped.
+As it takes a while to get blood online - and blood benefits from other paths being higher, it is often best to delay the full blood pivot until quite late as Bogarus. Instead, the high research of bogarus in many ways compounds itself. One of the advantages of having great research and blood 2 mages in any fort is that as long as a player has gold, the pivot doesn't take too many turns. As such, research tends to be more valuable until quite late. As such, although there is a temptation to do a full blood pivot at around construction 5 (dowsing rods), it is usually better to do the pivot later and instead focus on research - albeit a light blood prestence for utility and pain transfer communions may be valuable.
