This is an old revision of the document!
A prophet is the most loyal herald of the coming god. Every nation can appoint a commander to their one and only prophet of their nation's pretender god. On becoming a prophet, the commanders's priest level is increased to 3, or increased by 1, whichever is higher. A prophet spreads dominion like a temple.
Just like a pretender, a prophet is affected by friendly and hostile dominion. For each candle of friendly dominion in their current province, they gain 10% hit points, +1 strength and +0.5 magic resistance (rounded down). For each candle of hostile dominion, they lose as much, although hit points cannot be reduced below 10% of the total. Unlike a Pretender, the prophet can be blessed outside of friendly dominion.
If a prophet dies, the nation must wait for 6 turns until it can appoint a new one. No prophets are appointed in disciples games, as the disciples themselves act as prophets and spread dominion in the same manner.
