Twiceborn (Ench. 4) 2 and [10+3*size]
The caster prepares himself for death, so that they come back as an Undead Wight if the death happens. They return at the start of the next turn, in the province they cast it in. The caster has a 20% chance to gain +1 in the process, up to a max of 4. The spell is cut off if the caster is soul-slayed, preventing them from returning.
Twiceborn can only be cast by living beings with bones; it cannot be cast by a Plant, an Undead, an Inanimate, a Demon, a being with a Spirit Form, or a Pretender. In addition, it can only be cast by a humanoid; this means they must have hand slots and two feet. The only monstrous being known to use Twiceborn so far is the Abodai, or the rare Death-using Aboleth.
The specific form the new wight gains is determined by that of the original unit. The following is the basic template for a Size 3, flightless unit:
Sprite | Unit Name | Special Attributes |
---|---|---|
Wight Mage | Cold Resistance (25) Poison Resistance (25) Chill Aura (3) Poor Amphibian Undead Inanimate Need Not Eat Spirit Sight |
