Mind Vessel

Summary

Mind Vessel is a national spell exclusive to EA R'lyeh. It is described ingame as: putting a part of the Aboleth's mind in a humanlike vessel that has been bred for this purpose. The vessel will have little left of its own mind and the Aboleth part will have to guide it along. After the merging of minds the vessel will be able to use its old magic knowledge as well as that of the Aboleth.

Mechanics

Can only target monsters with the effecttrait Mindvessel (WIP gotta look at the modinspector effect trait) Can only be cast by monsters with the effecttrait Aboleth (WIP gotta look at the modinspector effect trait) Sets the base Astral path magic level of the "Slave Vessel" to the base magic level of the Caster/Aboleth Sets the morale of the Slave Vessel to 50, making it Mindless

Notes

Magic Boosting items like a Crystal Coin will not increase the true base level of the Aboleth, and therefore will NOT boost the Slave Vessel's Astral level Magic Boosting items work as normal on Slave Vessels, and will not boost the Astral level of their Aboleth Empowerment will increase the base level of the Aboleth, and therefore will boost the Slave Vessel's Astral level Once the "Is a Slave Vessel" and the "Commands a Slave Vessel" tags are applied, changing the chassis will not remove them. This is because they are not "Chassis Effects" (unofficial term) but rather use the unit's Effect Slots Example: Horror Marks use Effect Slots also and will follow the commander/unit through different monster types like Shapechanges, Transformations, and Prophet Shapes Example: Base HP, Attack Skill, and most tags that are seen when recruited like Awe, Forest Survival, and Immortality are tied to the monster type and will therefore usually be lost when the commander/unit changes into a different monster type Performing an astral Empowerment on the Slave Vessel will not increase their Astral Level This will consume the gems used by the Empowerment, and will result in a "(Unit Name) successfully empowered himself in Astral." message, but their level will remain the same as their Aboleth's Empowering again will cost the same amount of gems as before, proving that the Slave Vessel's base level remains the same If the Aboleth becomes Feebleminded, their Slave Vessel will lose all Astral skill This will be visually seen the following turn, assuming the cause of Feeblemind was applying an item like Slave Collar The Aboleth will have their cost to Empower be the same as if they were not Feebleminded, once Feeblemind is cured they will have their magic paths back The Slave Vessel's empowerment screen will show an option to go from 0 to 1 Astral skill If the Slave Vessel becomes Feebleminded they will keep all their paths, even their non Astral paths They will also not suffer reduced Attack, Magic Resistance, or any other effect of Feeblemind Potentially just a mindless thing? If the Aboleth dies in a battle, the Slave Vessel die by the time the next turn is shown If the Aboleth dies in a battle where the Slave Vessel is present, the Slave Vessel will not die immediately but instead continue fighting until the end of battle The Slave Vessel will still die by the start of the next turn
