A commander with this ability can, as an order found in the Misc section, spend a turn summoning units to the province it is in. The kind of units summoned is often alluded to in the summoning commander's description. The specific number of units summoned, however, needs to be looked up on the wiki or mod inspector.

Not to be confused with the ability to automatically summon units, for example through the Dominion Monster Summoner ability, or how Pans get their maenads.

Some generic summon spells give this ability, such as the Werewolf from Call of the Wild, or the Wraith Lord from Call Wraith Lord.
