Piconye is a kingdom of little horned men located in a fabulous land. It was once subservient to Magnificent Ind, but when the Khans of T’ien Ch’i defeated the sacred armies of Ind and killed the Prester King himself, the dominion of Ind was broken and the subservient tribes and kingdoms found themselves free from the yoke of the Magnificent Kingdom. The little men of Piconye had never had a unified kingdom apart from Magnificent Ind and struggled to form a kingdom of their own. Heavily influenced by their former masters Piconye turned into a theocratic monarchy with priest-soldiers and religious potentates ever present. But where Ind had hidden their virtue from the outside world, Piconye has instead turned itself outwards in an attempt to spread the faith of the awakening God.
"Piconye, Feminie and Andramania are successors to the magnificent kingdom of Ind. They mainly draw inspiration from my previous ideas of Ind and the kingdom of Prester John. I wanted the successors of Ind to split the virtues of the magnificent kingdom and so Piconye inherits the theocratic traditions of Ind…." -Illwinter
Piconye is whatever the opposite of a Giant nation is, just like Vaettiheim, Xibalba, and Shinuyama from the previous era. Unlike these others, however, Piconye has almost no human-sized-or-bigger troops; they're all summons, such as the Cyclops and the various angels. On top of that, these troops are very similar to the independent Hoburgs; in other words, they don't do a lot of damage, and they can't take a lot of damage either. Their Defense Skills are high, and they're pretty well-equipped, but battle magic will subsume them with ease. These troops are at least incredibly cheap, but the discounts are mainly in Gold and Recruitment Points. Aside from that, Piconye's commanders are not very good, putting a hard speed limit on how quickly the nation can mobilize large armies.
Piconye has three different Sacred troops, and the nation accrues an extra Holy Point for every Temple it builds; other nations, on the other hand, have to build five Temples for each extra point. These Sacred troops are priced the same as typical human infantry from other nations, and not without reason; still, the sheer amount of Sacreds Piconye can print outstrips every other nation in the game, so the Prester Kingdom is immensely incentivized to build a powerful Bless. The Sacreds have high Attack Skill and Precision, making the weapon Blesses very decent choices given their low Strength; with that being said, the little Baculite fellow has the closest damage output to a typical human elite, and the stat blesses can possibly pull them ahead of human capabilities.
Magically speaking, Piconye has only three mages: these are a cheap-and-efficient fort-bound Researcher, a somewhat-expensive combat mage-priest that can be found off-forts, and a Mage-Priest-King who demands a lot for what he offers. Piconye's Earth Mages can buff the troops enough to punch through plate armor, provided that the nation gets there before other Earth-or-Nature nations get deep into Alteration. The Kings provide respectably deep Astral access, and the Sage-Priests can assemble large (if expensive) Communions. The problem is that Piconye's mages are still Hoburg-like, making it very easy for Evocations to wipe them. Even if the Elemental Resistances are brought up to keep the Mages alive, mere scratch damage can force most of them into a rout, due to their undignified Morale…
